Fire safety and evacuation

The Fire Detection System (FDS) identifies the first signs of fire (smoke, heat, flame) using automatic detectors, and triggers an alarm. The Fire Safety System (SSI) goes a step further: it groups together all the equipment (detection, alarm, smoke extraction, compartmentalization, automatic extinguishing, etc.) interconnected to control the building's safety system. Scutum designs and maintains SSI systems in compliance with APSAD R7 regulations and NF S61-931 standards.

Effective evacuation is based on three pillars:

An audible and visual alarm system triggered automatically or manually;

Emergency lighting to ensure pathway visibility;

Clear, compliant signage indicating emergency exits.

Scutum supports its customers in designing evacuation plans, training personnel and regularly checking these devices to ensure they are working properly.

How does Scutum maintain fire systems? Installations are subject to scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with APSAD regulations and manufacturer requirements. Scutum technicians carry out functional tests, visual checks, trigger controls and software updates. Every intervention is recorded in a safety register, guaranteeing the system's compliance and ongoing reliability.
