AFRICA GLOBAL LOGISTICS (AGL)

AGL secures its travel and protects its expatriates in all its operations.

TALK TO AN EXPERT

Africa Global Logistics (AGL), formerly Bolloré Africa Logistics, is a major player in transport and logistics in Africa, operating in 49 countries and employing more than 21,000 people. At the time of the split with its former parent company, the group no longer had an operational Travel Risk Management tool.
AGL chose to rely on Scutum Security First to rebuild a complete TRM system, capable of integrating travel history, supporting local teams and securing employees in often sensitive environments.

Challenge

When AGL was set up, the Group had to re-establish a complete TRM system capable of centralising the supervision of travel in almost 50 countries, including 47 in Africa, which are often subject to shifting security contexts. The challenge was twofold: to rebuild a unified tool based on existing BAL data, and to provide security teams with a reliable alert, monitoring and coordination system to protect travellers and expatriates on a daily basis.

Solutions implemented

Scutum has deployed four complementary, comprehensive and scalable sustainable solutions.

1 - Customised TRM AGL

Scutum Security First deployed a tailor-made TRM system, integrating BAL's history, AGL's specific operational requirements and the needs of local security teams. The tool provides a unified view of movements and sensitive areas.

2 - Deployment of SSF Locator

Implementation of the SSF Locator to track around 3,000 journeys a year and 300 expatriate employees. The system enables teams to view positions in real time, identify areas of tension and anticipate incidents.

3 - Secure mobile application

AGL has adopted the SSF Global Solutions mobile application, providing employees with personalised alerts, direct access to assistance and rapid communication in the event of an emergency.

4 - Back-up via the SOC

In 2025, AGL subscribed to the Security Operations Centre, reinforcing the handling of critical situations, coordination with teams on the ground and 24/7 response capability.
Cyrille Peguilhan, AGL

SSF alerts have become a daily reflex: they enable me to monitor changes in risks in a matter of minutes and protect our teams across the continent. What really makes the difference is Scutum's ability to adapt to our needs and develop the tool accordingly. The proximity and responsiveness of our account manager are also decisive factors in our collaboration.
