THE CHALK HILLS ACADEMY

24/7 protection with advanced fire alarm technology

TALK TO AN EXPERT

Scutum has been supporting The Chalk Hills Academy in the UK for over ten years, providing regular maintenance and repairs to the school's fire alarm system. In 2023, it became apparent that the existing system required a complete upgrade, including all peripherals and the control panel, to ensure continued safety and reliability for pupils and staff.

Challenge

After ten years of service, The Chalk Hills Academy's fire alarm system had reached the end of its operational life. The existing equipment was no longer adapted to modern safety requirements, and the school wanted a system that would provide real-time notifications to relevant staff in the event of an alarm being triggered or an anomaly being detected. The challenge was to replace the entire system efficiently while minimising disruption to school activities.

Solutions implemented

Scutum recommended the installation of the AdvancedLive Mapping solution, which connects the fire alarm system to an application allowing staff to be immediately alerted in the event of an alarm or malfunction. The installation was carried out over the six-week summer break, ensuring that the school remains fully operational throughout the academic year. The new system includes upgraded control panels, heat and smoke detectors, as well as all the peripherals needed to ensure complete coverage of the site.

Scutum delivered exactly what we needed. Their team was professional, responsive and committed to our success. We now have complete visibility and control over our entire fire alarm system.
