A recognised French company in the formulation and production of high-performance lubricants, MOTUL conducts around 3,000 business trips every year, most of them domestic. The growth of its activities in certain sensitive areas and the need for specific support have led the group to further structure its passenger security system.
Since 2021, Scutum SF has been supporting MOTUL with a complete set of TRM solutions tailored to its organisation and its challenges.

Challenge

MOTUL needed to ensure the security of occasionally sensitive journeys, to support its teams during high-risk missions and to have a reinforced analysis capability to support its international growth. The group also needed a coherent TRM system, accessible in several languages and capable of covering all its employees, even when the volume of travel was relatively limited.

Solutions implemented

Scutum has deployed four complementary, comprehensive and scalable TRM solutions that are sustainable.

1 - Complete TRM system

MOTUL benefits from an integrated set of TRM solutions including travel monitoring, safety information, e-learning modules, the mobile application and the SOC. This global foundation enables the group to effectively protect its employees, whatever their mobility profile. The mobile application enables MOTUL employees to trigger an SOS in the event of danger or to declare themselves safe when an urgent alert is issued.

2 - Support for sensitive missions

Scutum SF has provided enhanced support for missions involving an increased level of risk, by providing appropriate monitoring, contextualised recommendations and ongoing support for the teams concerned.

3 - Customised analyses

MOTUL asked Scutum SF to provide country-specific analysis notes to assess the risks associated with its future areas of development and to optimise the preparation of its employees before they travel.

4 - Multilingual services 2026

To facilitate adoption by teams operating in different parts of the world, Scutum SF will roll out a multilingual version of all TRM services in 2026.
