Scutum launches a new smart solution to secure construction sites and remote locations 24/7
A technological and operational response to the surge in theft, intrusions and vandalism on construction sites
Rungis, 19 May 2026 – In response to the increase in equipment theft, intrusions and acts of vandalism on construction sites, Scutum, a leading independent French provider of electronic security and fire protection solutions, is unveiling a new mobile and smart security solution specifically designed for construction sites and remote locations.
Designed for sites that require temporary security, are spread over large areas or are difficult to access, this next-generation solution combines mobile video surveillance, artificial intelligence and 24/7 remote monitoring certified to APSAD P5 standards. It enables companies operating in construction, industry and infrastructure to protect their operations while improving project management and oversight.
Scutum’s mobile stations are equipped with several high-performance cameras – steerable PTZ cameras, a hemispherical camera and infrared vision – providing comprehensive site coverage, both day and night. Thanks to integrated artificial intelligence, the systems continuously analyse video feeds to automatically identify suspicious behaviour while drastically reducing false alarms.
In the event of a confirmed intrusion, Scutum’s remote monitoring centres, which are APSAD P5 certified and based in France, provide immediate alarm verification and trigger the appropriate response: an on-site siren, notification of those responsible for the site and alerting the relevant law enforcement authorities.
Beyond security, Scutum transforms construction site video surveillance into a genuine operational management tool through its centralised ScutumHub platform. Accessible remotely, it enables users to monitor construction progress in real time, view the different areas of the site, generate time-lapse videos and document every stage of the project.
