Scutum Launches New Smart Solution to Secure Construction Sites & Remote Locations 24/7

Mobile surveillance, AI-powered video analytics and remote monitoring combine to protect construction sites and support operational oversight

Rungis, France – 19 May 2026 – Scutum France has unveiled a new mobile security solution designed to help protect construction sites and remote locations against theft, unauthorised access and vandalism.

Developed for temporary, large or difficult-to-access sites, the solution combines mobile CCTV, AI-powered video analytics and 24/7 remote monitoring through Scutum's APSAD P5-certified monitoring centres in France.

The mobile surveillance units incorporate pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras, a hemispherical camera and infrared imaging capabilities to monitor site activity during the day and at night. Integrated video analytics help identify potentially suspicious activity and reduce unnecessary alarms.

When an intrusion alert is received, Scutum's French monitoring centres can assess the available information and initiate the appropriate response in accordance with agreed procedures. This may include activating an on-site siren, notifying designated contacts or contacting the relevant authorities where appropriate.

Beyond security monitoring, the solution incorporates ScutumHub, a centralised platform designed to support construction site oversight. Users can remotely access site footage, review construction progress, create time-lapse videos and maintain a visual record of project activity.

The solution is intended to help construction and infrastructure businesses protect valuable equipment and materials, improve site visibility and reduce the potential disruption and costs associated with security incidents.

The platform also incorporates features intended to support data protection requirements, including image anonymisation, secure data storage and event records. Appropriate configuration and data handling procedures remain necessary to meet applicable legal obligations.

“Modern construction sites have become particularly exposed environments, where security challenges have a direct impact on project profitability and timelines,” says Luc Guilmin, Managing Director of Scutum France. “With this new solution, we offer much more than a surveillance system: a comprehensive tool for securing, managing and adding value to on-site operations.”
