Alarm Mode presents you with a streamlined, full-picture view of what is happening at your home or business during an alarm. With Alarm Mode, you can quickly assess the situation and take action by viewing video clip thumbnails, accessing live camera feeds, and reviewing recent system activity all in one place. Additionally, property owners with Cancel/Verify can dismiss false alarms or confirm true alarms for expedited emergency response with the press of a button.

Smart Arming is an automated feature for residential systems that handles your nightly security routines without relying on a rigid, unchanging clock. • Goodnight: Automatically sets your system to Arm Stay when you go to bed, either at a specific time or after a set period of inactivity on designated sensors. • Wake Up: Automatically disarms the system in the morning at a set time or when specific motion sensors detect early-morning activity (like walking downstairs).

Your app comes with four Scene buttons, Home, Away, Sleep, and Wake-Up. Each one is a multi-device command that coordinates different smart devices to accomplish a complex task. You program each scene to control what you need to make your tasks easier.

Places (Geo-Services) uses your mobile device's location to automatically trigger smart home actions, security alerts, and device rules as you come and go. When a designated Geo-Device crosses the boundary, Alarm.com can arm/disarm reminders, adjust smart thermostats, turn lights on or off, lock/unlock doors, or pause video camera recording schedules.

AI learning studies your normal daily routines and notify you when something unusual happens—such as a door opening at an odd time, a garage door left open at night, or an unrecognized face disarming your panel. Triggers include unusual disarm times, doors/windows left open, unexpected motion, or face recognition mismatches on supported panels.
